Uh, hi. I'm Dan. I take pictures. What of? I don't know. People ask me and I just say life today.... Who cares. I obsess over Leica Cameras, their Russian copies, lenses for both systems. I own like 5 or 6 or 7 cameras including a Leica copy (Zorki 4), a Contax II copy (Kiev 4AM), a Lubitel TLR, a Minolta GX9, a Chinon 4M or something, a Leica R4 and a Canon 550D.... Lenses? My favorite is the 35mm f/2.0 Summicron for the Leica R4, followed by the Helios 103 on my Kiev, followed by the Rokinon 85mm f/1.4 for the Canon, which works out to be around a 135mm - f/ 1.4. Awesome. That picture up there was taken with the R4 :) I love film. Film is so much more awesome than digital... Man i don't wanna start a speech here but the colors, flexibilty, economic advantages, dynamic range, hands-on romantic experience, sense of achievemnt and stuff are all things not available when you use digital. You buy a 550D for like 500 dollars with a kit lens, and boom thats it, unlimited picttures n stuff. Or, a Chinon or Minolta or even Leica R, for under 50 bucks or 100 for the R4, and then maybe 100 or 200 on lenses if you're lucky which we all are, especially with the cheaper systems, and you have around 2000 or 300 bucks for film. epic. Buy some chemicals and do develop it at home fore free. Epic. Anyways, yeah now you know how I am. I love film. Digital is cool for sports n stuff like fast focus crap and blahblahblahblah, but film is just better. Better for art photography like what I do.
