Copy of the talk page of the former Yashica Mat-124G article Edit

I was just about to ask if you'd like another good photo of the Yashica Mat 124G, but then I realised... this one's my photo! (© Ian Tindale 2005) There's a slightly side-on view as well, at flickr, and a few more I've taken off there since. If there's interest and time, I might stick the rest of the set back up there. Was a lovely sunny day for a shot like this - pure sunlight, nothing else. Note that on this photo, I have a Yashica UV filter bayonet fitted onto the taking lens. Ian 18:08, 4 May 2006 (EDT)

I think it's incorrect to link Yashica-Mat in the Yashica page to a Yashica Mat-124G article. The Mat 124G and Mat are not one and the same camera. --driesvandenelzen 16:41, 20 November 2006 (EST)

You are right. We need to reorganize the pages about Yashica TLRs. Maybe we can group some models together. --Rebollo fr 09:49, 21 November 2006 (EST)
Well, in that case, I'd like to group the Yashica Mat LM and Yashica Mat EM together. The only difference between the two is the lightmeter layout. They're more ore less contemporary to eachother, which can not be said of the Mat and the Mat 124-G--driesvandenelzen 02:25, 22 November 2006 (EST)

Restructuration Edit

I have merged the following pages into this one:

  • Yashica-Mat LM
  • Yashica-Mat EM
  • Yashica Mat-124G

I am conscious that the current result is a little rough; it will be smoothed out in the future. --Rebollo fr 15:47, 21 September 2007 (EDT)

Yep, especially image placing would need some work, plus some copyediting. At the moment a bit confusing regarding camera functions and such (statements such as Y-M EM being "clearly more advanced than a Y-M" and such (when in reality functions are just about the same except the lightmeter and such, maximum aperture and shutter speeds are the same etc.).
