Sanyo is known as manufacturer of consumer electronics. In the age of digital photography Sanyo has joined the realm of the camera producers. Sanyo's main products in this field are the cameras of the brand "Sanyo Xacti". Some of their products simply had been licensed from other manufacturers. For example the VPC-A5 Xacti is a copy of the Konica Minolta Dimage X50. But there are other camera designs which seem to be original Sanyo developments like the Sanyo VPC-C5 Xacti, or the Sanyo VPC-J2 EX Xacti (picture on the right side of this page).
