T

Rolleiflex T is a series of medium format film TLR cameras manufactured by Franke & Heidecke, Braunschweig, Germany, and produced between 1958-76. The "T" designation does not come from the famous lenses Tessar, but simply from the first name of its creator: Théodore Uhl.

See also the article Rolleiflex.

The Rolleiflex T was originally designed, to fit between the budget Rolleicord and the Rolleiflex F models. It should have been a low cost camera, just less sophisticated than Rolleiflex F models.

Features in all models:

  • Waist level viewfinder is interchangeable
  • There is provision for built-in dual-range lightmeter
  • Film transportation: winding lever, film marker in film chamber, exposure counter for exposures 1-12. Blank film pressure plate.
  • Taking lens: Carl Zeiss Oberkochen Tessar 3.5/75mm; For eastern Europa Carl Zeiz Oberkochen Opton Te 3.4/75mm
  • Finder lens: Carl Zeiss Heidosmat 2.8/75mm, Bayonet 1
