The Mandel Photo Postcard Machine Camera was made by Chicago Ferrotype Co. in 1913 . The suitcase-styled box camera was designed for "Mandel's Positive Process" which used tintype postcards as film sheets, developable to photo-positives inside the camera. The Postcard Machine Cameras were made for greater postcard formats than the small Mandel-ette of the same camera maker.
