Sportsmaster Manumatic

Sporsmaster Manumatic is a 35mm film viewfinder camera made by Dacora for Ilford and introduced in 1961. It is renamed variant of Dacora CC.

It has fully automatic operation or manual, with Selenium cell exposure meter, reading possible in the viewfinder. Shutter is Prontor-Matic with speeds 1/30, 1/500 +B. It is X and M flash synchronised. The lens is Rodenstock Ysarex 45mm f/2.8 coated four elements. Bright-frame viewfinder and a rewind crank are the other features.

When the camera is set to 'Auto', the meter mechanism sets the correct aperture automatically according to the pre-selected shutter speed. The action of the meter is controlled by the film speed setting. This model also permits manual over-ride e.g. individual setting of aperture and shutter speed. This does not, however, prevent the meter from being used. The logo SM on the front of the camera indicates the options of manual or shutter-preferred automatic exposure control.
