Optima Rapid 500 V

Optima Rapid 500 V is a 35mm rapid film viewfinder camera made by Agfa and introduced in 1966. It belongs to Agfa Optima Rapid series of automatic cameras with 24x24mm exposures on Rapid cassettes.

It was presented at the same time as the Iso-Rapid Ic, than Isomat Rapid and the Optima Rapid 125 C, in 1966, at the Photokina. The Optima Rapid 125 C had been presented previously.

The camera is fully automatic, programmed auto-exposure, disengageable from the auto mode for the time and the exposures with the flash. In the bright-frame viewfinder, green and red signals indicates the cuts-off of coupling of the Selenium cell exposure meter.It has a hot-shoe. Chrome frame around front and shutter release on the top-plate. The lens is Agfa Color-Solinar 35mm f/2.8, and the shutter is Paratic V with speeds 1/30-1/500 +B.[1]
