Brilliant finder

A brilliant finder is a simple finder designed to be viewed from above, usually formed of a mirror and two lenses. It gives no focusing help, and the image is reversed left to right. It was mainly used in folding cameras, box cameras and pseudo TLR cameras. It is no longer used today. For more detail, see the diagram on the Viewfinder page.
