Gaumont's Block-Notes was an early vest pocket strut folding camera for 4.5x6cm film plates. The lens of its Newton type viewfinder was in a frame that could be shifted upon the lens board when the cameras was folded. The shutter was cocked by pulling the finder frame into working position. The photo above shows it with an optional plates cassette. It was available as sophisticated version with a fast Krauss or Krauss-Zeiss lens and focusability via struts (images above), or as nonfocusable version with simple f9 anastigmat triplet lens. A stereo variant and a 6x9 variant were also available.
