Optima 535 Electronic Sensor

Optima 535 Electronic Sensor is a 35mm film viewfinder camera made by Agfa and introduced in 1976. The camera is in the range of long lasting Agfa Optima Sensor series. [1]

The 535 differs from the Agfa Optima 335 Electronic Sensor by a more luminous lens, Solitar f2,8/40mm with 4 elements and a more powerful Paratronic shutter with speeds 1/15-1/500. [2] On the front face of the lens there are two CdS cells: one orders the electronic shutter, the other the two LED in the finder. The red one indicates speeds lower than the 1/30. The green one indicates those ranging between 1/30 and 1/500. The automatic program of exposure gives speed. The program extends from f/2.8 to 1/30, until f/5.6 to 1/500.

Notes and references

  1. Electronic sensor series replaced Optima 200 and 500 Sensor cameras. Their features are black body with large bright-frame viewfinder and automatic exposure control with electronic shutter.
